Parks, Recreation, Entertainment & Conservation Advisory Board

Description: Function in an advisory capacity to the Department in order to stimulate and promote vision, leadership, and public/private cooperation.
Advise and make recommendations to the Director regarding:
(1) Recommendations in the Parks Task Force Report dated March 22, 2006;
(2) Stimulating, advocating, and promoting adequate park and preserve funding;
(3) Development of public/private partnerships to benefit parks, preserves, entertainment and recreation;
(4) Development of legislative and executive action to the Director that will effectuate the purposes of this chapter; and
(5) Such other functions as assigned to the Advisory Board by the Director from time to time.
Mediate conflicts among organizations using the Departments facilities, its members, and the Department.
