Public Health and Saftey Committee Chairman Kevin Hyde has announced the Public Health and Safety Committee is sponsoring a forum concerning the issue of crime.  The panel will consist of all Council Members in attendance along with various agency representatives.  "The goal of the meeting is to have the public share their ideas of how to improve cirme prevention, and how to better deal with the problems that are created by crime," said Chairman Hyde.  "We are asking all Council Members to join us."

There will be two meetings, both on a Monday at 6:00 P.M. There is ample parking at both sites and security will be on hand for direction. The first meeting is November 26, 2007 at Edward Waters College, 1658 Kings Road, in the Milne Auditorium on Grunthal Street. The second meeting is December 10, 2007 at Wayman Ministries campus at 1176 LaBelle Street, in the Spirit of Life Worship Center on the corner of Plymouth Street, 1 block west of Cassatt Avenue.

Although these locations were chosen to make attendance convenient for communities that are experiencing a higher incidence of crime, all interested citizens are invited to attend and are encouraged to share their ideas.
