At 10:15 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2005, Council Member Glorious Johnson, will join Senator Mel Martinez, The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, city representatives, various other dignitaries and notable community activist in a Roundtable Forum to discuss issues affecting the African-American Community in Northeast Florida. The Round table discussion is being held at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Compass Room ? First Floor - 3 Independent Drive ?Downtown Jacksonville for a Public Meeting.
A deep love and admiration for her community, Council member Johnson commented, "I believe that the commitment to education, health and economic empowerment are key to strengthening not only the African ?American Community but the entire Community."
Visitor parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Chamber. The first 20 minutes are free. Otherwise, the rates are $3 for the first 90 minutes. Over 90 minutes is an additional $3.
