PROPOSED MANATEE ZONE RULE CHANGE

At its April 6, 2006, meeting, the Jacksonville Waterways Commission will review a draft of a proposed amendment to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission's Rule 68C-22.027, Fla. Admin. Code. If the amendment is adopted by the Fish & Wildlife Commission, it's rule regulating the speed and operation of motorboats to protect manatees on the St. Johns River between Reddie Point and the Fuller Warren Bridge would be the same as the existing federal zones established by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in April 2005.

The Waterways Commission will take testimony on the proposed rule at 9:00 a.m., April 6, 2006, Council Chambers, City Hall at St. Johns, 117 West Duval St., Jacksonville, FL.
