LaDonna Morris
Dr. LaDonna Morris is the Counselor Coordinator of the Rosanne R. Hartwell Women's Center at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, a position which she has held for 12 years. She is a recipient of FCCJ's Exceptional Service and Initiative Award. Her dissertation, Perceptions of a Chilly Climate: Differences in Traditional and Non-traditional Majors for Women, won two awards: the Herbert H. Handley Dissertation Award of the Mid-South Educational Research Association and the Thomas Mulkeen Award for the Best Doctoral Dissertation at the University of North Florida. In 2008, she was named Principal Investigator for a $1.5 million National Science Foundation grant to provide after-school technology experiences to high school girls.
Dr. Morris joined the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women in 2007. She currently serves as the commission's liaison for the Equal Pay Day event.
