In May of 1998, to honor unprecedented commitment to environmental quality in Northeast Florida, the mayor presented a one-time-only LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD to Congerssman Charles E. Bennett at a special retrospective exhibition of over seventy-five Lee Adams paintings.
