Since 1973 the Mayor of Jacksonville has presented the Mimi and Lee Adams Award annually to individuals, businesses and organizations who make outstanding contributions to the preservation or enhancement of our city's environment.

The Mimi and Lee Adams Environmental Advisory Board selects the winners of the annual Mimi and Lee Adams Environmental Awards given for outstanding contributions to the preservation or improvement of the environment in Duval County.  
The Mayor appoints and the City Council approves nine members for two-year terms.
