Public Service Grant Program
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program
The Community Development Division administers the CDBG awarded annually to the City of Jacksonville through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG)
ESG is designed to assist homeless persons by providing safe and sanitary shelter and essential social services necessary to improve their situations. The program is also intended to reduce homelessness through the funding of preventive programs and activities.
Home Investment Partnership (HOME)
The Housing Services Division administers various programs targeted at improving the quality of life for low- to moderate-income residents of Jacksonville.
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
More than $11,900,000 in HOPWA funds have been allocated to the City of Jacksonville through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since the program's inception in 1994.
