Internship Opportunities
Human Resources Division
"One Organization... So Many Opportunities"

The City of Jacksonville has internship opportunities for degree-seeking students enrolled at least half-time in an accredited college or university.  Internship applications are only accepted when an internship opportunity is posted on the city's website.  We do not accept unsolicited resumes and resumes cannot be accepted in place of the city employment application.

When available, internship opportunities are listed on the city's Web site and fall into two categories:

Undergraduate Internships are coordinated through the Organizational Support Division and provide opportunities for students to learn about city government, its employment opportunities and its civic obligations.  These positions are assigned to specific departments and can be part-time (less than 25 hours/week) or full time.  If full time, the internship will last no longer than two semesters.

Management Development Internships are coordinated through the office of Management Analysis and are for a period of one year.  During the internship rotation, Interns gain valuable experience in the areas of Human Resources, Budget, line departments and the Mayor's Office.

Please visit our Web site frequently if you are interested in applying as an intern.  When Internships are posted, you are able to view a complete description, including duties, salary range, and application instructions.
