Employee Assistance Program

SunsetPeople often find their lives filled with too much to do and too little time. There are too many activities, too much responsibility, and too many demands. Many times personal problems cause pain, stress, anxiety and may make it difficult to do a good job! If things get to be too much, the City offers an Employee Assistance Program(EAP) to help make those problems easier to manage. About 10 percent of any work force is struggling with personal problems. These problems can progressively worsen and threaten to affect work, health, home life and personal coping if left unattended. In order to make these problems more manageable, the City provides the EAP to work with you before the problems get out of hand ... or to help you if they have already gone too far.

Who We Are
The EAP helps you evaluate problems and find possible solutions in a professional and confidential way.The EAP is a free confidential counseling service for City employees and immediate members of their families. The Employee Assistance Program is based on the experience that all of us occasionally encounter problems that can be overwhelming. If left untreated, the problem may compromise job performance. In these situations the EAP offers confidential counseling focused on short term solutions. When needed the EAP provides guidance and referral services to secure effective quality care for long term problems.

To request confidential services, speak to a counselor or set an appointment, please call (904) 630-1475 or (904) 281-0623 or contact us by email.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
