Jacksonville Volunteers

The City of Jacksonville wants to help citizens interested in volunteering find a place to serve and contribute to their Jacksonville community. The City's Office of Volunteer Services organizes volunteers through JaxCorps, a partnership between citizens and city government.

Assistance Needed
Get involved in City government by volunteering for City agencies such as Victim Services, Animal Care & Control, or in any of our other on-going opportunities. Volunteers are also needed to support City sponsored special events like the World of Nations & Florida/Georgia Weekend. Youth and adult volunteers are welcome, however youth under the age of 16 must volunteer with a parent or guardian.

Purpose
To offer opportunities for citizens to volunteer in City agencies which provide valuable services to our community while enhancing their lives and the lives of those they serve.

Jacksonville's Emergency Medical Auxiliary (JEMA)

JEMA is currently seeking medical volunteers who like to maintain their EMS skills and assist Jacksonville's Fire and Rescue Department during a large scale, local emergency.

Inoculations and TB tests are available to each JEMA member. Monthly training courses are taught for JEMA members at the Fire and Rescue Training Academy .

EMS Re-certification is available in areas that pertain to emergency medicine to members in good standing.
