This is an unpaid volunteer position providing services to crime victims. Duties will include contacting crime victims by letter, phone and community fairs to inform them about available services, conducting follow-up surveys to ensure that victims' needs are met and offer further assistance if needed, setting up displays and attending health and informational community fairs to represent the Victim Services Center, and inputting data into the computer. Work will be performed at the Victim Services Center and various community centers. Training will be provided. Dress Code: casual.

Qualifications:

* Desire to help others.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Good speaking voice.
* Ability to follow oral and written directions.
* Basic computer skills.

This is an on-going assignment for a six months or more. Volunteer(s) will set their schedule for 2-4 hours during the week between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and as needed on weekends for informational fairs and special activities. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation.
