This is an unpaid volunteer position providing emotional support to crime victims. Duties will include helping crime victims to understand the court process, serving as the victim's advocate by accompanying them to court along with their Victim Services Center counselor, and providing emotional, caring support to reduce the victim's anti-coping process. Work is performed at the Victim Services Center and the Duval County Court House. Training will be provided. Dress Code: nice casual.

* Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
* Caring and supportive.

This is an on-going assignment for one year. Volunteer(s) will work 3-4 hours per week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday as needed for court appearances. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation.
