Huguenot Memorial Park-Goers Advised to Call Before Visiting July 4

Tuesday, July 03, 2007 Jacksonville, Fla.

Huguenot Memorial Park visitors are advised to call before visiting the park on the Independence Day holiday to determine current conditions.   Beach admittance may be temporarily limited during periods of high tide.  Campground and picnic pavilion functions should not be affected.

Visitors may check conditions by calling (904) 251-3335 or visiting www.jaxparks.com.

Managed by the City of Jacksonville's Department of Parks, Recreation, Entertainment and Conservation, Huguenot Memorial Park is located at 10980 Heckscher Drive.  Park hours will be extended to 9:40 p.m. to allow visitors to view the Mayport fireworks display.  The park will close after the fireworks (shortly after 10 p.m.), at which time all but permitted campers and their authorized visitors must leave.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
