Duval County residents can now obtain a comprehensive directory designed to help senior citizens locate information about programs and services such as housing, pharmacies, community services and health information. The City of Jacksonville’s free 2007 Senior Services Directory is available at all Duval County public library branches, any of the 19 Jacksonville Senior and Community Centers (see attached listing) and City Hall-St. James Building magazine and information kiosk (117 West Duval St.).
“This is the most comprehensive directory of its kind,” said Lisa Marshall, manager of Senior Centers Services. “Both seniors and caregivers will find useful information and community resources at their fingertips.”
The 176-page directory was produced in partnership with Heritage Publishing, and includes an index of services, the mailing addresses and telephone numbers of programs and services listed, as well as some senior-friendly Web sites.
