Residents with Flooded Homes Urged to Relocate

Friday, August 22, 2008 Jacksonville, Fla.    

As rainfall continues in Northeast Florida, significant flooding has occurred. In some areas of Jacksonville, residents are experiencing water incursion into their homes.

Duval County Health Department officials strongly urge individuals with standing water in their homes to avoid the affected areas or relocate from their homes. Individuals experiencing standing water in or near their homes should call 630-CITY to receive health information or assistance from the Duval County Health Department.
