What is the Youth Voice Council?
We are a group of diverse youth from various communities coming together to act as advocates for our peers. We present a better image of today’s youth by establishing more effective communication between youth and adults concerning poverty, sex education, crime, discrimination, and education. We achieve our goals by acting as role models and spreading our message through various forms of media.
What we do
As the Duval’s Youth Voice Council, we serve as volunteers and role models throughout our community. We attend conferences and sit on panels to give a youth’s perspective on today’s issues. We attend these events in the hopes to learn how to better speak and relate to adults as well as get the point across that the youth of Jacksonville are willing to do what it takes to help turn our city around.
