Sometimes the simplest questions about being a parent of a young child are the hardest to answer. In this section, parents can learn about the best ways they can lay the building blocks that will shape the rest of their children's lives.  Find answers to your questions about literacy, development, child care and activities that will enhance learning.

Parenting
The Jacksonville Children's Commission believes that you, as a parent, are your child's first and best teacher.  Parenting is an important job, and one that doesn't come with instructions.  The Children's Commission offers a variety of services to help parents learn healthy, positive parenting skills.
