Ages 5 to 8: Child Care

School-aged children have a variety of child care options.  They can continue attending child care centers and family child care homes, or they can also start attending after-school youth development programs at school and neighborhood sites.  The Children's Commission is proud to work with many after school programs, including the TEAM UP program, which offers academic and cultural enrichment to elementary, middle and high school students.

Concerned about cost?
The Duval County Early Learning Coalition can help you with child care costs, too. The Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) department is your Simplified Point of Entry to qualifying for financial assistance.  View the financial assistance page and call the CCR&R line at 904-208-2044 to learn if you qualify and to learn how to become involved.
Even if you are not seeking financial assistance, we can help you budget your child care costs.

Is your child planning to attend summer camp?
