Mayor Peyton's Book Club

Registration for Mayor Peyton's Book Club has closed for the 2007-2008 school year!

Registration for the 2008-2009 school year will open on August 1, 2008.

All pre-kindergarten students in Duval County (who are 4 years old and will attend kindergarten in the 2009-2010 school year) are invited to join Mayor Peyton's Book Club.

Members will receive a backpack filled with fun reading tools and books about life in Jacksonville.  Best of all, it's all completely free!  The Book Club books were written especially for the children of Jacksonville and each book focuses on a different aspect of living in our city.

2008-2009 Book Club Registration Guidelines

• To be eligible, children must be Duval County residents planning to enter kindergarten in 2009.  In accordance with the kindergarten guidelines set forth by the Duval County Public School system, children must have turned 4 by Sept. 1, 2008, to be eligible for the Book Club.  (Private schools may have different registration guidelines.)

Mayor's Book Club books are available for checkout with a valid library card at the Jacksonville Public Library.
