Become a Mentor
The Mentor Training course is a comprehensive and interactive three-hour training class that prepares volunteers for the mentoring experience by giving volunteers the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to be  great mentors. This training is designed to help to ensure mentors have a successful volunteer experience.

Volunteers must undergo a thorough background screening with live-scan fingerprinting.

All training classes will be held at the Jacksonville Children's Commission,
1095 A. Philip Randolph Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32206

Early Learning & Youth Development Training
The Children's Commission' Training Institute offers a wealth of trainings that can help enhance the skills of all adults who parent, work with, relate to, and advocate for our children and youth.

The training institute publishes a quarterly catalog and provides a comprehensive array of trainings offered by faculty members that consist of community providers and Children's Commission staff.
