The City of Jacksonville instituted fees to specifically fund residential solid waste (garbage) collection and stormwater management.

**The 2009 application deadline passed on Friday, July 31.**
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
- Late notices were mailed on Tuesday, October 13. Customers should not have received a notice if:
- Due to volume, not all applications have been entered. When a qualified application is entered on an unpaid account, late fees will be automatically waived.
- If you submitted an application for adjustment, exemption or credit on or before July 31, you will not be charged late fees when you receive your new bill following the application decision.
- Applications received after July 31 may be considered for the 2010 bill year.

- The 2009 bills include charges for the entire 2009 calendar year, January through December.
- The 2009 bills will include any unpaid fees from 2008. Click here to learn more about Past Due Amounts.
- The 2009 fees are based on property data as of December 31, 2008. Generally, changes made to/on the property after that date will not be considered until the 2010 bill year.
