Human Resources Division

The City of Jacksonville has internship opportunities for degree-seeking students enrolled at least half-time in an accredited college or university. Internship applications are only accepted when an internship opportunity is posted on the city's website. We do not accept unsolicited resumes and resumes cannot be accepted in place of the city employment application.

When available, internship opportunities are listed on the city's Open Volunteer Positions page.

Internships are coordinated through the Human Resources Division and provide opportunities for students to learn about city government, its employment opportunities and its civic obligations. These positions are assigned to specific departments and can be part-time (less than 25 hours/week) or full time. If full time, the internship will last no longer than two semesters.

Please visit our website frequently if you are interested in applying as an intern.
