Thinking of retiring? We want you to be prepared for retirement. If you're considering retiring in the next few years, it's not too early to begin planning. Please join us at one of our pre-retirement seminars. These seminars are given at the Yates Building for City employees, and at the Church Street location for JEA employees.
Pre-retirement seminars are designed to answer many of the questions you may have. The Employee Benefits office explains retiree benefits and also gathers speakers from the City of Jacksonville Retirement System, Fire and Police Pension Fund, Social Security, deferred compensation, the Retired Employee Association, and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Handouts include a recommended checklist for pre-retirement planning as well as information to help you determine how much money you will need in retirement.
