Fire Safety

Since 1999 in Jacksonville, about 60 people have died and 250 others were injured in residential fires.

Whether at work, home or play, residents can minimize the risks of fire. Smoke alarms are the best early warning system available, and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department will install a free smoke detector in one- and two-family residences.

This Web site offers Fire Safety Tips, information about Children and Fire, and a how-to list for After A Fire to help victims replace key documents and identification lost in a fire.
Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
