2007 Tier II Filing Assistance
Our office now requires the submission of Tier II reports electronically. This not only simplifies the process for our office, but  it also benefits you by helping our department better protect your property and staff.

The steps involved in this process are as follows and you can receive assistance with all of them if needed:

  • Download Tier2 Submit Software from EPA
  • Import Last Year's Report
  • Determine accurate Lat/Long Coordinates
  • Submit files via the Internet
  • Site Plans (PDF, or CAD Format)
  • MSDS (If these are on Web site, submit the web address where they can be found.)

You will need to bring a list of your facility locations, contact names with phone numbers and reportable chemicals, along with any Site Plans or other documents you wish to submit.  For many, processing the Tier II submission in person will take less than 30 minutes.

You may make an appointment with Inspector John Scott to file your Tier II report at the JFRD Fire Marshal offices, 515 Julia St. N., Jacksonville, FL, if you need further assistance.  We recommend filing early as it may be difficult to schedule an appointment during the Feb. 24 – March 1 dates.
