firecomThe Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Communications Center (FRCC) serves an area of approximately 840 square miles.  FRCC is a hub of activity, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  FRCC uses the latest technology with sustained efforts at development and enhancement.

Fire and Rescue Communications provides the connection between the public and fire and emergency medical services.  All Communications personnel are certified in *EMD, APCO, First Responder and CPR and are required to gather information and manage emergency calls within allotted time parameters.

The Communications Center operates on four 12-hour shifts divided into two day and two night shifts.  All shifts rotate between days.

The Communications Center is always open.
