The month of November will witness the grand opening ceremony of new Fire Station #21. Located at 6272 Powers Ave., new #21 will serve as a replacement station for the previous location at 3518 Morrow St. The new, approximately $1.5 million project will feature a nearly 10,600 square foot single story construction with four large bay doors prominently displayed along with the attractive red/coral coloring of the completely in concrete block encased exterior. The ceremony itself is tentatively scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, and will feature within the program the official ribbon cutting and first presentation of station colors.
