The Duval County Law Library provides legal material and reference assistance to the Court, the Bar and the public. Located on the first floor (room 102) of the Duval County Courthouse, it contains approximately 40, 000 volumes. The collection includes Federal and State statutory law (50 states, and Puerto Rico.); Federal case law from the District Courts, Appellate Courts and Supreme Court; and case law from the states in the Regional Reporter System. Florida law is covered in the Statutes, Statutes Annotated, and the Florida Administrative Code. Florida case law is found not only in the Southern Reporter, but also in Florida Law Weekly, Florida Law Weekly (Supplement) and Florida Law Weekly (Federal). In addition, treatises on all aspects of Florida practice and procedure are available, as well as an extensive treatise collection covering most aspects of practicing law. The library has computers available for research and Internet access.
