The Housing Services Division administers and operates Jacksonville's affordable housing program. The division is designated as the official housing agency for the city for affordable housing, State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) funds and all other similar matters except those for which the Jacksonville Housing Authority is responsible. An 11-member Housing Commission advises, oversees and provides guidance to the division.
