THE HOUSING SERVICES DIVISION (HSD) IS NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING AT THIS TIME.
The Housing Services Division (HSD) funds and administers programs designed to provide affordable housing opportunities and comprehensive housing services to low and moderate-income individuals and families within the City of Jacksonville.
Funding comes from the following sources: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), State Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) Program.
The HSD seeks and encourages applications that address, but are not limited to, the following community needs:
1) housing rehabilitation
2) homeownership housing counseling
3) homebuyer downpayment assistance
4) for sale rehab or new construction
5) rental housing purchase, rehabilitation or construction
6) gap financing, principle reduction and operating subsidies for affordable housing
7) activities that address the housing needs of persons with AIDS and the homeless
Other innovative ideas are welcome. Targeted neighborhoods (noted in the application) will be given priority consideration in evaluation of project proposals.
