The Neighborhood Stabilization Program, authorized by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA), will assist state and local governments in the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed properties and increase the availability of affordable housing for low, moderate and middle income households. The funding amounts were determined by formula established by HUD using criteria specified by HERA.
The City of Jacksonville has received an allocation of $26,175,317 in funding from this program for use in Duval County. The city's application to HUD for its allocation was due Dec. 1, 2008, and can be viewed at the following link:

Services required to implement the Neighborhood Stabilization Program will be secured through an RFP process. A copy of the RFP can be viewed on the Procurement Division's Web site by clicking the following link to Procurement Division Request for Proposals.
