Primary Goals of the SAFER Project

 

Public: 

Provide citizens of Jacksonville better safety and security with improved city-wide coordination and quicker emergency response time. Provide the highest quality of service possible to citizens of Jacksonville with more efficient routing and dispatching.

 

Internal:

Increase safety and security for employees of Jacksonville due to location awareness. Optimize resources and increase overall efficiency through location visualization and simpler routing. Improve communications between supervisors, dispatchers, and operators. Reduce maintenance costs by decreasing vehicle mileage. Improve public image due to benefits SAFER provides to citizens.

 

The bottom line:

Vehicles are used more efficiently and effectively,

customer needs are handled more quickly and intelligently,

and all with an encompassing focus on safety for workers and citizens
