About John T. Lowe Boat Ramp at Goodbys Creek

Goodbys Creek is a tributary of the St. Johns River, roughly dividing the Jacksonville communities of San Jose and Mandarin. When surveyed in 1792 for Francis Goodwin, the stream was known as Azza Creek, later to be known as Goodmans Lake, Goodbys Lake, and Goodbys Creek. Property was purchased by the City in 2002. Manatees are found along the channel during the March-November season. The Boat Ramp was open for public use in 2006. The dredging of the channel was completed in 2007.

This boat ramp serves the busy Baymeadows area and is located on the south side of Goodbys Lake and San Jose Boulevard. It has three lanes and is ADA accessible.
