Remote Collection Events

Thanks to all residents who helped to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste by dropping off materials at one of this year's five Household Hazardous and E-waste Remote Collection events.  The final event for this series was held on April 25, 2009.

In total, approximately 3,450 residents helped to properly dispose of more than two dump truck, four trailers and one pick up truck loads of electronic waste; 3.5 truck loads of paint; 131 (55 gallon) drums of flammables; 48 drums of acids, corrosives, pesticides and pool chemicals; and 13 propane tanks.

There is currently no remote collection event scheduled.  A schedule for the 2009-2010 fiscal year will be announced in late 2009.

To properly dispose of hazardous and e-wastes through the year, please bring materials to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 2675 Commonwealth Ave.  The HHW Facility is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
