Fourth of July Celebration

July 3-5, 2009 | Downtown Riverfront

This star-spangled celebration is highlighted by a free concert at Metropolitan Park with Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Richard Marx, and the Boogie Freaks, ice skating at the Veterans Memorial Arena, and a Freedom Ride for area bikers. The festivities culminate with the First Coast's most spectacular 4th of July fireworks display over the St. Johns River. You've got to see it to believe it!

Safety and Security Seminar for Seniors

Hart Bridge Repainting and Structural Repair Project

Full bridge closings will occur Monday through Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and from 7 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday. Single lane closings will occur during non-rush hour times. No lane closings will be allowed in both directions from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. southbound. This work should be finished in early 2011. There will be no lane or bridge closings over the extended July 4th weekend.
