"Help When You Need It Most"

Photograph of the Victim Services Center, a pink two-story building located in the historic Springfield area of Jacksonville.

The staff at the Victim Services Center provide quality, comprehensive services to crime victims/survivors and their significant others by reducing victims' trauma and facilitate their recovery from the impact of their victimization while advocating for their welfare and rights to fair treatment

The Victim Services Center is internationally known as a leader in victims' rights, advocacy and services to victims of crime. The Victim Services Center was constructed in 1991 and has since become a model for the nation.

The Center has been visited by such notables as the late Governor Lawton Chiles, former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, visitors from Nicaragua, Belgium, Haiti and Brazil have toured the Center to learn how to duplicate Jacksonville's model in their respective countries. The accomplishment of constructing an expanded facility in 1997 afforded the housing of one Masters' level counseling specialist; a conference room for staff and other community agencies; and additional specialized victim services components.

The Center is 8,100 sq. ft., resembling a late 19th century home and is conveniently located next to two hospitals.
