LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance workshops are designed to meet the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services classroom training requirements for the Limited pesticide license used by landscape maintenance professionals. Anyone applying pesticides to property other than their own personal property is required by law to have a valid Florida pesticide license. LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CLASSES
The Landscape Maintenance series is a year long program for the Landscape Maintenance professional looking for classroom and hands-on-training in the horticulture basics. Topics include pruning, turfgrass maintenance, proper planting, equipment maintenance and more. Classes are scheduled once a month for two hours and are repeated annually. Once the individual finishes ten sessions (20 hours) a certificate of completion in Basic Horticulture Science is awarded by Duval County Extension.

PESTICIDE TECHNICIAN TRAINING CLASSES
This series of classes is designed to provide category specific training to the pesticide technician employed by a full time Pest Control Company.
No Classes in this series for 2007
ID CARDHOLDER TRAINING (Pesticide Applicators)
This quarterly workshop meets the classroom training requirements for Pest Control ID cardholders as prescribed under Chapter 482 of the Florida Statutes. The session is four hours but is designed in two hour increments for those persons needing two hours for annual renewal.

Best Management Practices for the Protection of Water Resources in Florida (BMPs)
These workshops will familiarize attendees with the objectives and management standards of landscape maintenance that will reduce the risk of non-point source pollution. Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for most Lawn and Ornamental pesticide licenses. Certificates and training materials will be handed out for all who complete the workshop and pass the Post Quiz with a grade of 80%.
