A course on the basics of saving and investment. This five-session series is held semi-annually based on the home-study 150-page booklet. Course units include: Finding Money to Invest, Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Tax-Deferred Investing, Investing With Small Dollar Amounts, and Avoiding Investment Fraud. Each unit includes action steps that encourage participants to improve their finances and a comprehensive glossary of investment terms. $15 fee. Next avaialble series will be scheduled for Fall 2009. Building Your Financial Future- A Personal Financial Management Program
Develop a financial plan based on your situation, resources and goals that will help you maintain an acceptable quality of life. Learn how to choose and use credit wisely. High School Financial Planning Program -
Free curriculum guide for teachers / youth group leaders to provide financial literacy information to teens in public, private, and home school; community-based youth groups, and church youth groups. Each youth receives a free 100-page workbook. Sponsored jointly by the National Endowment for Financial Education and the Duval County 4-H School Enrichment program.
