Special Kids Kampus Features

Educational: Outdoor Learning

  • Safe City
A miniaturized four-block area of Jacksonville's downtown where children can learn traffic and personal safety.

  • Open Air Classrooms
Kids Kampus offers two open-air seating areas, just the right size for educational field trips and group tours. Bleacher seating for 150 children is available in the "Ritz Pavilion." An outdoor 50-child capacity amphitheater sits on a grassy hill overlooking the "Mayport Signal Hill."
All groups must call ahead for a reservation.
  • Playscapes and Learning Fun
Children can climb, slide, dig and ride while learning how to use telescopes, signal kits, mechanical diggers, a sundial and compass. Play equipment mimics real-life machines and historical sites.
  • Catherine Street Fire Museum
The Fire Museum is located at the north boundary of Kids Kampus. Schools and/or classes may tour the museum by making a reservation through Kids Kampus. The Fire Museum is recommended for grades 2 through 5.
