Programs include Summer Enrichment Camp, Teen Power, Art Camp, EnviroCamp, Kids Kamp, Tennis Camp, Youth Basketball Camp, Youth Volleyball Camp, Youth Soccer Camp, Junior Lifeguard Camp and Camp Jacksonville.

Summer Camp Enrichment - various locations

$50 per two-week session, $10 for extended day.
Participants ages 6 through 12 may enjoy a wide variety of activities including sports, arts and crafts, swimming, board games and field trips. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended day avaiable from 7 - 9 a.m. and 4 - 6 p.m.

JaxParks Teen Power - various locations

$10 per two-week session.
Teens ages 13 through 15 may take part in the JaxParks Teen Power Junior Counselor Program, where they are exposed to job skills, responsibility and networking. Teen Power participants are selected through an interview process. Apply online beginning April 7 and requests for an interview will be fowarded to the camp director. If selected following the interview, participant's parents may then pay applicable fees.

Art Camp - Murray Hill Art Center, 4327 Kerle St.

$50 per two-week session, extended day not available.
Youth are introduced to multi-art mediums such as clay works, painting, drawing and printing paper materials. Three sessions offer art experiences for different age groups.

  • Session 1 - ages 8 and 9
  • Session 2 - ages 10 through 12
  • Session 3 - ages 13 through 17

    EnviroCamp - Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park, 7000 Roosevelt Blvd.

    $50 per two-week session, $10 for extended day.
    Young participants have the opportunity to explore their natural surroundings while developing an appreciation and understanding of the natural world around them. Each session has different themes and is designed for different age groups.

  • Session 1: Critter Camp - ages 7 through 9 will experience hands-on activities while learning about critters such as reptiles, birds, mammals, butterflies and other insects. Activities include insect scavenger hunt, animal track identification, and care of nature center animals.
  • Session 2: Exploring H2O Camp - Ages 8 through 10 will learn the importance of water conservation and the impacts of water pollution while becoming familiar with the effects water has on our environment. Activities include water olympics and other water games.
  • Session 3: Junior Ranger Camp - Ages 10 through 12 will experience what it's like to be a ranger while learning about land management in parks, the usefulness of prescribed fire, and native and exotic species. Activities include orienteering and map reading, trail maintenance, and managed animal care.

    Kids Kamp - Normandy Community Center, 1751 Lindsey Road

    $50 per two-week session, $10 for extended day.
    Designed specifically for children ages 4 and 5, Kids Kamp offers our younger population specialized activities geared to children with high energy, active bodies and an inquisitive nature.
    Note: Campers who attended this camp in 2007 and have turned 6 years old, may pre-register at the camp of their choice. Program hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended day available 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

    Tennis Camp - select locations

    $20 per two-week session.
    A specialized camp for all skill levels, this program teaches youth endurance and agility.

  • Beginners - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 -10:30 a.m.
  • Advance Beginners - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Intermediate--Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 -10:30 a.m.
  • Advanced - Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    Youth Basketball Camp at Cuba Hunter Gymnasium, 3620 Bedford Road

    $35 per one-week session, $25 for extended day.
    Basektball drills and skills for youth ages 6 through 15. Program hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended day available from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to p.m.

  • Session 1 - July 28 through Aug. 1
  • Session 2 - Aug. 4 - 8

    $35 per one-week session.
    Basektball drills and skills for youth ages 8 through 15. Program hours are 9 a.m. to noon.

  • Ages 10 through 12; June 23 - 27
  • Ages 8 through 10; June 30 - July 3
  • Ages 13 through 15; July 14 - 18

    $35 per one-week session.
    Volleyball drills and skills for youth ages 10 through 15. Program hours are 9 a.m. to noon.

  • Ages 10 through 12; July 7 - 11
  • Ages 13 through 15; July 21 - 25

    Youth Soccer Camp at Cecil Recreation Complex, 13611-A Normandy Blvd. (Registration begins May 1)
     

    $35 per one-week session.
    Soccer drills and skills for youth ages 8 through 10. Program hours are 9 a.m. to noon. One sessions offered.

  • Junior Lifeguard Camp at Hanna Park, 500 Wonderwood Dr. (Registration now open)


    $150 per two-week session, $25 for extended day.
    Ages 12 through 15 will learn oceanography and ocean rescue techniques at JaxParks' premiere oceanfront park. Activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, board rescues and indoor and outdoor games. Program hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended day available 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

  • Session 1 - June 16 through 27
  • Session 2 - June 30 through July 11
  • Session 3 - July 14 - 25.

    Junior Lifeguard Camp at the Cecil Aquatics Center, 13611 Normandy Blvd. (Registration now open)


    $150 per two-week session, $25 for extended day.
    Ages 11 through 14 will engage in activities to develop teamwork, self-respect, responsibility, leadership and professionalism while learning environmental sciences and emergency skills. Program hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended day available 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

  • Session 1 - June 16 through 27
  • Session 2 - June 30 through July 11
  • Session 3 - July 14 - 25.

    Camp Jacksonville at Robert Kennedy Community Center, 1133 Ionia St.
     and Emmett Reed Community Center, 1093 W. Sixth St.

    Free for first 100 registrants at each location.

    Ages 6 - 12 and 13 - 15 will partipate in this JaxParks pilot program combing structured educational, cultural and recreational activities with field trips to area entities during this six-week program. The program will culminate with a special one-day Camp Jacksonville Olympics ceremony.

    Camp Jacksonville six-week program: June 16 - July 25
    Elementary School ages 6 - 12; Robert Kennedy Community Center
    Middle School ages 13 - 15; Emmett Reed Community Center
