Metropolitan Park
 

Metropolitan Park, located along the beautiful St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, is the First Coast's premier recreational facility. Since its opening in 1984, this once vacant 27-acre facility offers something for everyone. Whether you prefer relaxing in the cool river breezes or listening to top-name entertainment at one of the many outdoor concerts, Metropolitan Park offers a variety of recreational amenities including:

· A 2,400 square-foot reversible stage
· Generous seating for any event under its
  large canopy
· Green Room & Production Office
· Dressing Room trailers
· Full boat docking facilities
· Covered picnic shelters
· Children's Play Area

 

This unique outdoor venue is the home of many annual events including The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, World of Nations Celebration, Spring Music Festival, Fourth of July Celebration and many more. Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, James Taylor, Lonestar, Faith Hill, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Collective Soul, Train, Jackson Brown, Hootie and the Blowfish, Chaka Khan, Wynonna and The Beach Boys are just a few top national acts that have performed at Metropolitan Park.

Metropolitan Park is also the perfect place for corporate events. Each of the three group picnic shelters can accommodate 100 people. For a larger crowd, the Pavilion can be set with tables and chairs for any occasion.
