Friday, November 6

  • School Field Trip Day
    9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    Area schools and high school ROTC groups are invited to come check out the performers as they practice their precision moves, recruitment booths and more.

    Bus drop-off is on Beach Boulevard at First Street.  Once students are unloaded, busses will be routed to parking area.  

    Car drop-off and parking is on First Street and Sixth Avenue North.

  • Practice Show
    Military and civilian air show performers will practice their demonstrations and aerobatic feats throughout the day.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels practice will commence at approximately 2:15 p.m.

  • Jacksonville Sea and Sky Spectacular Pre-Flight Party
    Seawalk Pavilion, 6-10 p.m.
    Free and open to the public.

    A pilot autographs a picture for a young fan.Meet and Greet
    Take advantage of this opportunity to get an autograph from your favorite performer. You are invited to meet and mingle with Sea and Sky Spectacular military and civilian performers and crews. 

    Live entertainment
    No matter your age or favorite music genre, Last 2 Leave is sure to get you on your feet.

    Food and beverage will be available for purchase.  

    Popular Science Star Party (Friday and Saturday only)
    6-10 p.m.
    On the beach next to the Seawalk Pavilion

    Join Celestron for an up close view of the night skies!  In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, which marks 400 years since the great Italian scientist Galileo Galilei first turned a telescope to the sky, Celestron will be viewing Jupiter and its moons, the craters of Earth's Moon, nebulas and galaxies through our computerized telescopes during the Sea & Sky Spectacular and we invite the public to come take a peek at these amazing celestial objects. 

    Visit the Popular Science Celestron booth during the Pre-Flight Party and buy a raffle ticket to support the USO.  Raffle tickets are $1 and one hundred percent of the proceeds go to our local USO.

  • Sky Show
    The show will open each day with an American Flag fly over and a performance of the National Anthem. Schedule of appearances coming soon!
  • VIP Viewing Areas
    VIP viewing areas include Premier Seating, Cabana Seating and Corporate Cabanas to put you in the heat of the action near show center.

    Jacksonville Sea & Sky Spectacular Street Festival

    There is plenty to do while the performers are in the air! Ground activities include interactive games, displays, simulators, children's activities, arts & crafts, food, beverages and much more!
  • Kiddy Hawk Kids Area
    Bring your little pilots to the Kiddy Hawk Kids Area featuring an aircraft carrier slide, a Quad Power Jump, mechanical bull rides and rock climbing wall!  Let their imaginations soar with personalized dog tags, temporary tattoos, and make and take crafts including buttons, paddle balls, pinwheels, sun catchers, glider planes, and wind chimes.  Also, be entertained by our roaming juggler and be sure to get a complimentary child ID kit and a K.I.D identification band presented by the CIty of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. 

  • Aviation Alley Autograph Session!
    Make a stop at the Aviation Alley Autograph Sessions near the Seawalk Pavilion and meet some of your favorite air show performers.  Performers will autograph on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  This is a great opportunity to meet the men and women behind these incredible machines.

  • THEY WANT YOU!
    Accelerate your life with the United States Navy.  Satisfy your need for speed in their flight simulator, get up close to the Navy Scion display and challenge your friends to a football toss.

    Cross into the blue with the U.S. Air Force flight simulator and check out their mobile recruiting unit.

    Stop by the U.S. Marine Corps booth and check out the Hummer, an obstacle course, a Drill Sergeant inflatable and information about what it takes to be: The Few. The Proud. The Marines.

    Are you Army strong?  Test your strength, endurance and rock climbing ability at the U.S. Army booth.  Test your marksmanship skills and check out the Army Hummer. 

    Stop by the Air National Guard booth and try the flight simulator to see if you have what it takes to guard America and defend freedom. 

    Visit the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office booth to learn more about serving and protecting our great city.

    Learn about the Florida Highway Patrol ans what you can do to keep our highways safe.



    Representatives from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department will be on hand to provide information on careers.
  • Vietnam Memorial Wall
    Pay tribute to the fallen heroes of the Vietnam War and search for names at the 48' replica memorial wall on Saturday. 

  • Take a Test Ride!
    Don't miss your chance to experience the nest dimension in open road riding.  Stop by the Syder Roadster Demo Tour to take a road test on a Spyder RT or a Spyder RS Roadster.  Riders must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid motorcycle license and wear pands and closed-toe shoes.

    Stop by the Krispy Kreme booth and purchase a patriotic pack of donuts.  Twenty-five percent of sales go to the USO. 

  • USS Adams Museum
    Learn more about the USS Adams with videos of the Adams class, ship equipment, memorabilia and meet docents to learn about ship missions, armament and museum information.

  • World's Tallest Pinball Machine
    You've never played pinball like this!  Test your skills with the Space Race, a 28' tall pinball machine, and take home a souvenir just for playing.

    Visit the 511 booth for information about this helpful resource for traffic information, emergency preparedness, construction information and alerts.

  • Big Grill, Big Taste!
    Johnsonville is rolling out the great taste of Johnsonville Sausage with the Big Taste Grill.  This 65-foot super-grill cooks 2,500 bph (bratwurst per hour) so try one today!

    Quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger from a variety of food and beverage booths on site to indulge any craving you may have.  A portion of beverage proceeds will NAVSTA Mayport, USO, HSL-48, Mayport Navy League, Tri-Base Navy Ball, and the First Class Petty Officer Association and Chief Petty Officer Association.

    Don't miss the Popular Science Star Party on Friday and Saturday evening from 6-10 p.m.  Join Celestron for an upclose view of the night skies in celebration of the International Year of Astronomy 2009.  View Jupiter and its moons, the craters of the Earth's moon, nebulas and galaxies, receive giveaways and participate in prize drawings.  Friday's Star Party will be on the beach near the Sea Walk Pavilion and Saturday's Star Party will be on the beach between 4th and 5th Avenues North.
