Fort Caroline National Memorial
12713 Fort Caroline Road
Jacksonville, FL 32225

Through the entryway to Fort Caroline National Memorial sits 6,000 years of human history. Visitors will be introduced to stories of 16th century Florida when the French claimed a short-lived presence along the banks of Jacksonville's waterways. The park is the site of early exploration, battles and the first contact between American Indians and Europeans.

Immersed alongside the park's grand history is the breathtaking beauty of one of the last unspoiled coastal wetlands on the Atlantic Coast. Hardwood hammocks, coastal dunes and salt marshes beckon visitors to stroll along the parks' trails and take in all that this gem has to offer.
