Kingsley Plantation offers an opportunity to discover and explore a significant period of American history. Visitors to the site will be immersed in the struggles, resilience and contributions of enslaved people and the captivating story Zephaniah Kingsley and his ideas about race, economics and management of a Sea Island cotton plantation in Spanish Florida.
 
Visitors can explore the grounds of the plantation, which include the Planter's residence, kitchen house, Sea Island cotton garden, old tabby barn and remnants of cabins that were home to the enslaved men, women and children who once worked and lived on the plantation.The barn and cabins are made from oyster shells left on the island by American Indians. A visitor contact station and bookstore are located in the 1920's building adjacent to the plantation buildings. Ranger programs are offered daily at 2 p.m.
