Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve

Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve
12713 Fort Caroline Road
Jacksonville, FL 32225

904.641.7155

The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is rich in history, culture and nature. Visitors are awestruck by the splendor of its unspoiled coastal wetlands, salt marshes, coastal dunes and powerful hardwood hammocks. Miles of peaceful, wooded nature trails and vast grasslands supporting water and land animals invite visitors to stroll through the preserve's Theodore Roosevelt Area.

The preserve's Kingsley Plantation offers opportunities to explore life on a nineteenth-century Florida plantation, while Ft. Caroline National Monument introduces guests to the short-lived French presence in sixteenth century Florida. Visitors may also explore Cedar Point, American Beach, Talbot Islands State Parks and Huguenot Memorial Park, all within the 6,000 acres of the Timucuan Preserve.
