Drippy, the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board's water droplet mascot is fun and educational. Designed to educate kids about water conservation, preservation and preserving our St. Johns River, Drippy and EPB program administrator, Christi Veleta, talk to thousands of kids each year.
Drippy and Christi are available to come to your school or special event to talk "H2O" with kids and students. This is a free outreach program funded by the City of Jacksonville.
Drippy Says "Help Save Water"
Outdoor lawn watering is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Overwatering the lawn can cause root rot and other damage to your lawn. Your garden hose can pour out 600 gallons of water or more in just a few hours.
Tell your folks to check toilets for leaks in the tank at the overflow pipe and flapper valve. Leaking toilets are the most common and wasteful water leaks found in homes today.
Store drinking water in the refrigerator rather than letting the tap run every time you want a drink of water.
