Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is composed of nine members. It reviews proposed subdivision plans, multi-residential structures, mobile home parks, requests for exceptions and variances to the zoning code, appeals from decisions of the building official, and other matters related to land use and planning. It also recommends to the City Council changes in the zoning code and subdivision regulations with respect to planned unit developments, and makes recommendations on the Comprehensive Plan. The Commission acts as the coordinating agency for executive and independent agency activities that affect land use and area planning.
