Tips for Parents and Guardians of Students

Red School HouseThe 2008-2009 school year started on Aug. 18 for children enrolled in Duval County Public Schools. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is committed to ensuring that parents, guardians and students have access to resources needed to make the school year a productive and educational experience.

The Duval County Public Schools, in partnership with the JSO,has instituted a new initiative, Project Safe Students In School. Click here to learn more about this program.

The JSO provides a police presence in all middle and high schools with in the school district. Click here to learn about the Safety Education Unit and and the School Resource Officers.

The Police Athletic League (PAL) makes a positive difference in the lives of children through after school educational programs, sports, and recreational activities at their five Jacksonville sites. Click here for more information about PAL.
