Through the Safety Education Unit (elementary schools) and the School Resource Officers (middle and high schools), the JSO's presence in the Duval County Schools helps ensure a safe learning environment for all students.  Officers in the schools are highly trained to assist in the overall mission of the school.

Project Safe Students in Schools
 Project Safe Students in Schools is an early intervention program and partnership between Duval County Public Schools and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. 

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
